Hi. My name is Adam Wheeler, I am from Elmira, NY, USA. (NOT New York City).
I've used Wacko Wiki in several places in the past, and I am concerned about
problems I am now experiencing with spambots and attempted hacks.
Is Wacko Wiki even officially recommended for English users?
There is nothing wrong with a Wiki supporting primarily Russian or Non-English users. English has plenty of worldwide support, and specialization often results in a superior product.
My only question is: What is recommended if not Wacko Wiki?
Same here... I cannot teach my company another language, nor do I have time for translating to English. We still need new features, and we like Wacko Wiki alot.
Ideas and Suggestions

TheBone /13.06.2006 00:05/ Hi Adam and welcome. Seems that you have the same problem as the other languages. Wacko was a good project... but now all the coder break up or go to Yandex. What is your expertise? Coding?
The problem with the default language is something that all non russian have. Currently we are looking for a possibility with .htaccess or PHP in the German section language forwarder (ger)
AdamWheeler /12.06.2006 16:53/ Thank you for the quick response. I am mainly a system integrator, with much basic knowledge of many languages and operating systems. I am currently merging our legacy DOS systems and remote POS systems onto a linux platform while interfacing to a win32 back-end for technical, management, financial, and executive departments. My PHP coding is basic at best, but that may change drastically in the near future. I specialize mainly in data communication, syncronization and cross-platform automation. I am currently concentrating on advancing my linux administration skills from intermediate to advanced. We use Wacko Wiki for documentation while our automated systems update the comments with current information. I have also used Wacko Wiki for internet-facing projects, but have shut most of these installations down due to excessive spamming, maintenance issues, and in some cases general lack of interest (and dollars) from certain customers.
